Jungle Folk vs. Mountain Kin

Today's sampling of vintage Valentine cards deal with two different types of laughable lovebird: the jungle caucasian so prominent in cards like these from this era, as well as the bucktoothed, barefoot hillbilly so prominent in... well... in my neck of the woods right here in Missouri! All contain wonderful illustrations, some highlighted with die-cut edges / windows, as well as tiny props, one has an actual spring loaded steel trap that will certainly bite your finger off if you don't open the card carefully! (+BONUS monkey card!)

The monkey card is grand! I'm pretty sure it's totally saying "I'll give you money to have sex with me" in verse. Ah, young romance!
