A few of you might remember this John Severin classic from the May 1976 issue of Creepy #79 that I originally posted at THOIA way back in 2012, but for those of you that missed it, here it is again. Yep, some posts --especially ones with incredible artwork AND ones that are hysterical jabs at horror cliches-- are just too good to leave behind!

What no comments yet? Did the monsters get all the posters?
I'll go first if no one else will- there is an Eddie Murphy skit on the net about the Amityville Horror and how he would have reacted differently than the white family living in the accursed house - "Oh baby this is beautiful, we got a chandelier hanging up there, kids outside playing, its a beautiful neighborhood, we ain't got nuttin to worry, I really love it, its really nice 'geeeet ouuuut!' Too bad we cant stay, baby!"
Looking back at my old comment from 2012, I see that the same exact panel struck me tonight, well over seven years after the first time: That second utility belt item on page four. "Nothing like them exits!" Man that makes me laugh right out loud in the old dark house every time I read it. The very first panel of page one is also a satire masterpiece.
Such a classic Severin story.
Super Severin Strikes Again!
