Seven Girl Robots for the King of Ceres

Wow, it's already time for the last post of the month, so let's join 'ol Flint Baker and Reef (is that a real name for a man?!) Ryan, aka The Space Rangers, as they are given the wonderful task of transporting a bevy of bionic robo bikini babes through outer space. What could go wrong, you ask? Well, for starters, panel placement conducive to cohesive comic book story telling for one, --but hey, don't let that get in the way of your likely confused, eye-poppin' fun! Hell, even the ever gorgeously vicious, redheaded villainess, Huldane, escapes from prison for this one! From the March 1946 issue of Planet Comics #41, and keep your eyes open for a rather repulsive RFK Jr. cameo at the bottom of page 6 --that guy seriously sucks the life out of everything everywhere, even in the darkest, bare-bodied corners of the Fiction House universe! Story by Hugh Fitzhugh.

Good girl pin up art on each page, with a brief glimpse of a cat fight in the end. The artist knew what the comics fans wanted and he delivered.

Girl robots, and sexy girl robots at that, the writers never knew how close we are to that becoming reality in the 21st century.

I always find it charming how space travel was envisioned back then- hop aboard a space plane, travel to the stars and arrive on some distant planet in a few weeks, casual attire as space suits, it is the Flash Gordon/Buck Rodgers look until the space race changed all that.

This was a great one, Karswell, Thanks!

Looks like all the other posters are off for Labor Day, or are bummed out that school is starting.

Before I forget, when it comes to RFK Jr., who looks like Dr Frankenstein's reject, I wonder just how much grey matter did that worm eat?

That can't be RFK Jr, he only listens to the voices inside his head, this guy is actually seeking out help!

Boy this is a hard read! The weird panel layout, word balloons jumping into previous panels, suddenly everything in shadow (the artist was talented so I suspect it's a stylistic choice?)

And how the hell do the space rangers get anything done? Oh, the terrible murderous pirate queen is out there let's put the guy she wants on a ship full of victims. Bikini victims!

The art is great. There's a lot of skill, the good girl art does get distracting at times, but all of it is wonderful. BTW, not a single female in this is not in a bikini! That has to be some kind of special comic award for that!
