Cartoon Post Cards (Part 1) ARMY

In the mid 60's, Crest-Craft released a super funny, and very nicely illustrated series of military related cartoon post card collections. Each perforated booklet came with 12 cards... today we'll look at the Army, in our next post we'll see some silly pokes at the Navy.

It's driving me bonkers cuz I know I've seen his art somewhere else before... although it was probably on some other Crest Craft greeting cards in my collection, and also uncredited. Thanks for lookin'!

Also want to apologize for the blurring on the left hand side of some of the cards... this was the best I could do in the scanner since all the cards are still connected to the booklet. I didn't want to bend them back too much and break the perforations.

As the current owner of crest craft, I am proud to say our founder (established 1947) is responsible for these iconic pieces of history. While artist name is unknown, we are going to celebrate by offering prints as a tribute to our founder, Bud Johnson.
