Poker... just a friendly game

I found this cute 60's gag cocktail napkin the other day, complete with jokey poker theme, and now regret wiping up a cat hairball with it. It's covered with hilariously great, cartoony artwork on all four visible sides (see the complete unfolded version at the end), and that single red color really gives it that extra poke of gorgeous kitsch graphic design. (PS: I didn't really wipe up a cat hairball with it.)

Wow, that's a heck of a napkin. They've somehow somehow managed to crush a handkerchief's worth of art onto that thing. I super love the main image of folks fighting over the poker table.

Ah, hairballs. The joys of pet ownership is a bounty without boundary.

Having "One Pair" being that low really hurts my sense of beauty :)

I agree with Cavin here, the fighting panel is excellent. It has great motion, clever gags (I like the guy under the table just drinking away) and I love the flying cards. It's a real MAD style story header image.

I am glad this napkin survived to the present day, the art and jokes are still fun to read.

The term lost media tends to refer to videos, movies, TV broadcasts and radio shows lost to time, but lost print media is often overlooked. Thanks to AEET and Karswell's hard work, some of the lost print media is saved from oblivion and is available to be seen and enjoyed today.

As always, thanks for all you do Karswell, you are an archivist extraordinaire.
