AEET's Best of Midcentury Valentines

It's Valentine's Day once again, so here's another cute assortment of vintage greeting cards that I found over the last year, and they're all from the 40's and 50's, highlighted by adorable cartoon illustrations and funny puns and other silly stuff. Have a great holiday, everyone! And remember, the VD doesn't stop today though-- lots more coming up all month!

If I had a valentine I'd happily give her one of these. Charming.

I thought the marshmallowy lass in the bubble-bath was going to be my fave today--till I scrolled down to the Hirschfeld-faced alligator. What a great card!

Happy Valentine's Day!

"Is the devil a sissy" has gained about 62 extra meanings in the years since that was printed!

I'm going to have to throw my vote for the alligator, too, that's such an amusing image.
