Weegee's Weird World

Here's another kooky camera article from the same terrific issue of TAB as seen in our previous post! Dig those crazy "elastic" lens shots! Cheesecake never looked so... uhhh... well, it's funny to think that nowadays you can just simply do this sort of thing on your phone with a couple mere clicks of the app. Boy, kids today sure got it easy-- but they ain't got Martha Raye!

I love that Martha Raye pic. The next one freaks me out a little, though. I mean the Weegee World mirror-image thing is maybe less interestingly applied there than some of the others, but the base picture looks for all the world like some old mafia homicide crime scene photo. And the narrative there--TAB Magazine makes quirky photo manipulation spreads for kids out of dead folk--is a pretty spooky story.

TAB is actually about as close as you can get to becoming a girlie mag for men without actually showing any nudity... lots of scantily clad lady lay-outs scattered throughout.

Thanks for the comment, Mr C!

Honestly I've never even heard of it. I guess my assumption was based on the way the prose read? Anyway, you make it sound gloriously sleazy, so I'm in!
