Pardon My Blooper

Highlights from this hysterical Crest Books collection of LIVE, on air announcer flubs, (captured before the camera and microphone), and compiled by "Blooper Snooper" Kermit Schafer in 1959 (former title: "Your Slip is Showing".) Wonderful illustrations by Bernard Thompson too!

Great stuff. I'm happy to see that the hoer pun was already in play in the fifties.

Ha! Was that a flub or an actual joke though, JMR? I have to think that sometimes these boners aren't so accidental.

I remember some similar blooper records too, not sure if they were from this same guy, but yeah we used to crack up on that stuff.

WOW!! My Dad used to have this joke book in his collection and I loved reading it as a kid. This thing had some great stuff in it. Talk about a blast from the past. I think we may still have it downstairs on our bookshelves! Thanks so much for sharing.
