Mr. and Mrs. J. Evil Scientist

Time for a sampling of spooky silliness from the 1963 issue of Mr. and Mrs. J. Evil Scientist #1. This was a fun "Monster Family" series that deserved more than the all too brief four-issue run it received (see also their comic debut in Hanna-Barbera Band Wagon #3) before eventually being cancelled. And despite what many people think, The J. Evils actually did make a few animated appearences on 60's television in two very memorable episodes of Snagglepuss and Snooper & Blabber.

Absolutely love this stuff. I wonder how many kids imagined themselves living with those cool folks in Spooky Acres? I'll bet nearly every kid that read the comic!

Me too. I love this stuff, same as Mykal.

In the 2nd story J Evil has apparently stolen Fred Flintstone's hair.

I'll have more J. Evil in the months to come, so keep it right here at AEET, and as always thanks for the comments!

This is great. Might be even funnier if you just go ahead and combine the two stories. The realtors dress up like ghosts to scare off familia J. Evil Scientist, but then are understandably accidentally killed-off themselves when they are repulsed by the tenets. Therefore, they come back in an attempt to haunt the house, which works out pretty well for them.

God, that was good. Love the stream lined animation style art. Thanks for posting!
