Picked up another funny novelty gag gift box the other day, and as usual, the art on the lid hints at something you just know is going to conflict with whatever is going on inside the box. Though to be honest, this time it actually penetrates a little closer to the implication than, umm, usual...

This shows you the danger of novelty gifts. So it's a lewd gesture, but the problem is the best part is the front part, so they put that in the box, but the impact is less because it took me a second to recognize it (as you'd normally see that from the back.)
I'll tell you, I'd be absolutely obnoxious with over analysis during the meetings when people brought in their new novelty ideas!
Yeah it's weird. It almost doesn't seem like a joke. I guess it's either an insult or, you know, a suggestion, yeah? Feels like it's up for interpretation. Either way, I'd feel really weird giving it to somebody--someone I like? I don't like?--for their special occasion.
Interesting sculpt, though. It's striking that with so little depth they chose to foreshorten the fingers instead of folding them down. I'll bet they look even more like toes from other angles.
