Time for a fun little madcap experiment in monster cuteness from the December 1946 issue of George Pal's Puppetoons #7. Here we find jittery Jim Dandy (yep, they're all puppets) getting sucked into a not so tall tale featuring Frankenstein's look-a-like monster --or is it actually a long lost cousin of Shrimpenstein?! Either way, I spent waaaaay too much time trying to clean up these pitiful lookin' pages and make 'em presentable, --hope everyone enjoys it immensely!

Cute! I like when an artist draws things that have a physical presence -- like puppets -- as puppets in the world. You could have just as easily drew them as real people. And the art is great, especially some of the misshapen and enlarged heads.
The art is really neat in this, the monster is a great image and boy can I tell that work went into cleaning this up, so thanks!

You're welcome-- thanks for noticing and commenting! :)
yeah, these pages look great. I have no idea how far gone the originals were, and that's a testament to the work you put into restoring them. Thanks!
I had no idea there were Puppetoons Comics. At least I don't remember knowing it. I love the George Pal short films, for sure. The comics do them more justice than I expected. Like Brian, I'm thrilled that the characters are still represented as puppets.
