Witness this titanic terror battle between two legendary frights of fiction! Both are recent acquisitions to my ever expanding monster collection, and now both are fighting for supreme display real estate here on any one of my ominous office shelves! Who will win a coveted spot near the window? And who will be banished into the shadowy gloom of the back corner near the dusty comic book long boxes? The answer, sadly enough, came shortly after assembling the 70's Creepy Creatures Frankenstein Puzzle and realizing to my great and utter disappointment that 6 pieces were missing --and the pretty sneaky sissy / previous owner nicely included 6 pieces from some other random puzzles just to rub it in! ARGHHH!! Anyway, the box art still displays nicely on the shelf, and so in the end my Taste the Blood of Dracula silent Super 8mm hath won, reigning in victorious blood soaked winnage on the opposite side of the room betwixt the Varan the Unbelievable, and the Doom of Dracula Super 8mms. Think of the poor guy that got his puzzle with your 6 pieces.
The extra pieces are so random, I doubt they’re from the same other same single puzzle, haha
There is just something so staggeringly meta about a Frankenstein picture cobbled together from multiple jigsaws. Annoying, sure; but poetic and appropriate! You should definitely sew the odd pieces new into those weird old holes.
It's alive!
Lol, I didn’t even think of that, missing pieces to the Frankenstein puzzle = poetic Indeed!
My silly suggestion- scan the puzzle lid, enlarge the image so it is the size of the puzzle, print out the enlarged image, then tape/glue the puzzle pieces to the printout and call it "Fragments of Frankenstein".
Brill!
Also: I want to buy everything in that catalog, of course. But the 200 foot reel of I Was a Teenage Werewolf and War of the Colossal Beast are right at the top of the list.
In all my antique mall journeys over the years I've neve seen the Teenage Werewolf 8mm... if I do find it though, ummm, its mine ;)
