It just wouldn't be October here at AEET without some Halloween fun from the greatest kid magazine of all time-- Jack and Jill! And lucky for you guys I found about a half dozen issues that'll make this festive holiday of fright even more memorable this year! Stories, games, poems, puzzles, and other neato projects await-- and of course all presented with the beautiful artwork courtesy of some of J&J's very own illustrative bullpen of incredible all-star professionals! And stick around all this month for a couple more 60's (and 70's) Jack and Jill posts too!

Love it! The art is just so much fun!
I look forward to these every year! I love the parade of costumed trick-or-treaters across the tops of the last two pages of Halloween Mix-Up. But my favorite thing about this post are those spooky and peculiar illustrations for the rhyming prose story about Sammy Snell. Both of those images feel very fresh, unexpected and eerie looking, totally amazing. Can't wait to see more!
So Jake and Jill were written here in Peru Il! So we always had them around the artwork always left me daydreaming! I could not wait for the Halloween issue every year.
Oh man the images are so neat! Esp the James Reid stuff. The bat and which in the second pic in that story are cool!
And Steve’s Halloween Party sounds like a
L S A B T!!!
Knew everyone would flip out on that Reid art... the Lee Degroot "One Night a Year" illustration is pretty outstanding as well. Thanks for the comments-- more Jack and Jill halloweeners coming up later this month, so stay tombed!
