Fyi this story is from Dime Comics #1 (one shot)
Interesting choice on the art -- it's something you do see more often on funny animal books so it fits in here. I really like the kind of glossy shading on everything.
Me too! I think the cartooning is quite nice in its own right--really loosey and classic-like--but that two-tone shadow methodology in this thing really feels fresh. It doesn't hurt that the colorist is all-in, either.
Super neat story. Did you choose other humor pieces for the Ghost Book? I know there are plenty of funny-type comic book stories for all the different monsters, but I feel like ghosts still give you guys more than the usual latitude to break out of the horror mold if you want to.
The GHOSTS book is pretty much 100% serious ghost tales, although I'm sure a few of you will get a chuckle from some of the typical golden age tough guy talk in a couple of the stories. I would like to do a book someday that consists mostly of supernatural stories with a more humorous edge, in both writing and art styles. Maybe, or maybe not for younger readers.
Thanks for the comments!
