A blood suckin' set of vicious vampire bats kick off our October 2018 Halloween Countdown --as if everyday isn't a Halloween countdown! Yes, nothing says dark 'n spooky fall night better than wooden salt 'n pepper shakers with leathery wings 'n ears, and painted faces from 60's Japan!
Watch your necks! Lots more fun coming up...

I love all the weird S&P shakers from the 50's and 60's. I've been in dangerous risk of becoming an S&P shaker collector over the years, but have kept my own collection to a minimum.
I mostly only collect cat s&p shakers, or anything cute and wooden from mid century japan... but these bats wouldve been tough to pass up
Adorable
These are awesome!
My only collectable salt and pepper shakers are ceramic "nodding skulls" like these (only mine are not branded for any particular roadside attraction). They do say "Made in Japan" right on the bottom!
They remind me of Batfink, maybe they are his nephews?
These are groovy! I've got some similar looking troll-type figures somewhere from around the same era....
Happy Countdown!
Thanks for the comments and yes, everyone stay with us throughout the October Halloween Countdown, we have lots of spooky fun lined up all month long, as usual! :)
