Two short but very fun stories from the Sept '63 issue of Rocky and his Fiendish Friends #5, illustrated by the great Al Kilgore whose madcap style really gives these tales an extra springy edge. I'd love to find more Liddle Wolfgang stuff to post-- this kid would undoubtably be right at home over at The Horrors of it All!

Wow. I really like the method they used in both of these stories, where they relied on the color backgrounds to delineate the frames themselves. That really worked to engineer an easily-parsed route through stories that otherwise were pretty playful regarding normal conventions of narrative (really, that second story should be hard to follow if not read out loud, but it's not). Nice unique work here.
Beautiful stuff. Amazing the the true art that was always so widely and cheaply available to us.
If anyone's interested in more stories from this issue let me know, it's all pretty excellent.
Dude, you know we're interested. Bring on as much of this awesome stuff as you possibly can.
