Huckleberry Hound Card Game

Here's a fun little 60's Ed-U-Cards card game featuring Hanna Barbera's blueberriest darn dawg, Huckleberry Hound. (I say "60's" because the box is marked "1961", while the instruction card is marked "1965", and meanwhile the insert cover card says "1967!" Oh. My. Darling. W.T.F?!) Anyway, it's basically match game with 8 different sets of 4 cards in the deck: shuffle ‘em good, turn 'em upside down, take turns, find two that match, collect the most cards, win, etc... I wonder what the heck 'ol Huck is looking at so dreamily in the "Dog Through a Hoop" #3 card?

Gotta love Huck. I'm an official member of the Huckleberry Hound Fan Club. Still have my membership certificate around here somewhere.

Awww! This deck is adorable! But man, it sure seems like there should be more cards than that!

Stop mixing talking, human like animals with regular animals! Yeesh!

I like the queen one, it's so bizarre, I don't remember any Huck cartoon like that, is it out of pure imagination? Who would think of that for a deck? Everything is so mismatched! I love it!

I must have missed the cartoon where Huck chows down on raw carrots, baloney slices, and pomegranate seeds.

"The box is packed tight," Mr Karswell said, out loud.

There's a couple eps with knight themes, I remember one with him fighting a dragon, might be from that.

My stuff is buried away somewhere in my boxes of early to mid-60s comics, but here's a link to a site with a picture of the complete kit.

My set has 9 sets 4 cards each, but no instructions. Does anyone know how many cards were actually supposed to be in the set?
