Christmas is coming up fast, and if you haven't already put your minds to it, might I remind you that you better be good, you better be nice, and you better get workin' on those xmas present lists-- aye! And since I'm kinda bored with my old Picturesound programs for my GE Show'N Tell player, I think I'll ask for some new ones. Unfortunately, the ones listed in the Sears Wishbook catalog this year aren't quite "floatin' my boat" as they say. So, with the help of a photoshop elf (aka me), I'm weavin' up a few of my own, because that's what the magic of Christmas is all about... or something. And to those of you unfamiliar with this retro electrical contraption, CLICK HERE!

You're hilarious. I love the teeny icons in the title section. I never had one of these contraptions or even saw one but man I would love to experience the simultaneous image and 45 record action
I never had one either, basically it just took the Viewmaster idea a couple of louder / bulky steps further.
Wanna see some more of these? Send me some suggestions!
Super fun idea Mr. Karswell! I love them all but I really really want Wicked City!
I doubt that mono speaker is going to fully capture Hawkwind!
Most of the real programs for this player are of course major studio cartoons and other types of assorted kids fairy tales, plus educational / learning ones. But the other day I noticed that there was a Dracula and Frankenstein program which is of course what launched this whole silly idea to the next level in the first place. Glad everyone is enjoying it! :)
I do love a good Photoshop moment! Nicely done!
These are great, and you've done such a good job of covering a lot of different varieties of audiovisual content. It's all brilliant, but somehow it's Wicked City that stood out for me, too. Good choice.
Ideas! Tetsuo the Iron Man, the Apollo 11 moon landing, The Rumble in the Jungle, The Patterson–Gimlin film, Hiroshima, Mon Amour, Videodrome (or, maybe, if that one's too on-the-nose, Twenty Minutes into the Future?).
I actually did think of Videodrome, but then I also thought of taking it one step further. Please see the added image in the post.
Also thought of one of the tv screen scenes from the Something to Tide You Over segment of Creepshow (with the couple buried up to the necks in sand.) This will likely be a post subject I'll return to in the coming months with more additions. Thanks for the comments! :)
Ok, I went ahead and whipped up the Creepshow idea as well and updated the post for the second time today-- enjoy!
Perfect! I was trying to think of appropriately square images, but now you got me thinking of the 4:3 stuff found inside of standard movies. Like the game show in Time Bandits, or the "I'd buy that for a dollar" segments from Robocop.
I was just thinking about doing Halloween 3 as well, putting masks on the two kids on the packaging and then making the screen the Silver Shamrock commercial
