By pure coincidental luck, I found another old Dogpatch USA postcard at an antique store yesterday. I intended to just add it to the end of the previous postcard set but was afraid maybe you'd all miss it. Now this'n here one is a bit larger'n those, and it's from the year the park opened in 1968. Also, it's mounted on a thick board so it's actually more like a plaque than a postcard. Fun find, and full of great Capp artwork.

For a long time I thought Lil' Abner's mom was Popeye in drag.
Ah, I thought I recognized this artwork--This was taken from publicity material for a proposed Li'l Abner animated TV series that was in development at this time:

From the shape and material, I remember having similar souvenir plaques with shots from other tourist spots like Hawaii on them. We used to set hot pans on them when serving dinner.
Not only was there an attempt at an animated Lil Abner cartoon, but a very funny unsold TV pilot exists as well:

This thing certainly looks like something hot was set on it with all the stains and whatnot... thanks for the comments! :)
