Here's a cute little hardcover for all you love birds out there, published by Hallmark in the 60's or 70's, as part of their "Thoughtfulness Library" of greeting card alternatives. Incredible art "drawed" by Louis Marak certifies this as a real gem of a book.

Awwwww a little birdy. I remember these book cards. Sometimes they disappointingly doubled as a present :(
That is pretty dang cute. Sometimes I think these things were inked with calligraphy pens. I mean, all those varying line thicknesses where the outer and inner edges of the line curve at different angles look more like fancy hand lettering to me than the usual brush inking does. Like it was done with a wedge-shaped nib.
It warms my heart that two individuals found true love with each other ;)

Haha, awwwww... are we speaking from disappointments of the past?

You may be right! It's definitely a super look

Indeed! If a bird and a bear (it is a bear, right?) can find love-- anybody and anything can!
Thanks for the comments! Something not so cute up next
Hi, I’m wondering if you still have this item. It was illustrated by the late Lou Marak, an extremely close friend/father figure to my husband. I wondered if you might be willing to part with it ??!! I would be happy to purchase it. Thanks.
