MFC

At this time of year a common bond seems to unite people everywhere-- especially children. In every land, holiday customs are different but all of them contain a special sort of warmth and fellowship that draws family and friends closer together. And that special sort of something is mutha f#ckin' cookies. Cute photography from The Electric Company Christmas Cooky Book (60's / 70's.)

Good lord this is amazing. As much as I truly love that mod font on the cover, it's the clever deconstructed holly leaf that blows my mind. So perfect. Also I like all the creepy wonderful world dolls, of course. But that cover could work just as well on a Matt Helm Christmas Album.

Now I think about it after one troubled night's sleep, these pictures give me the feeling of some old "stop motion" tv show I saw 1 million years ago. They would be just perfect as actual frames of such a show made by this "electric company". Same magic feeling of motion.
Merry Xmas to you all, by the way.

P.s.: It took me a while to spot the connection between Matt Helm and Christmas songs. I immediately thought about the Franciosa tv show.

haha, great comments... I think before we look at some edibles, we might pay homage to the people that make them. Coming right up!
