Sik-Teen Magazine

If you flip-over MAD Special Number Six and start from the back page first, you get 6 hilarious upside pages of Sik-Teen Magazine, a silly spoof on 60's pop stars like The Monkees (see: "The Chimps") and the sugary coated teen mags of the era. The unfortunate thing that happened to me personally with this issue was the eerie coincidence of Davy Jones from The Monkees, (not to mention Ben Gazzara also satirized on the cover), both passing away within the same month of me buying this back issue! "Davy Sleeps", "Davy Tells of His Resurrection" ---eeek! It's enough to give ya the willies! I'm glad no one confessed to any murders!

God, how many decades have we been picking on corporate boy bands now? This hasn't dated at all. And it was hilarious. Benji and Foetuses forever!

It was printed first in MAD #121 a few years earlier.
