That is one sleepy-looking woman! I like to think she's stayed up late writing all these backwards messages on the mirrors to Alice, the little forwards girl who lives on the other side of the looking glass.

I love the crazy lettering in this and the really dense clothes.
This looks as though the illustrator was trying to capture The Gibson Girl look and came rather close.
The handwritten message would be considered a secret code, since handwriting is fading out of use nowadays.
