A super cute line of dolls by Whitman released in 1967, the PeePul Pals featured a handful of different girl power figures, both real and fictional, and all primed and ready to make this awful, male-driven world of ours a whole lot more tolerable (thank you girls :)) Googling the PeePul Pals name produces a huge selection of tremendously adorable merchandise, from dolls, to play sets, to books etc... and today's AEET post is another in our line of "tiny stuff scanned WAY BIG", and comes from the back cover of the Sally Stewardess Very Special Gifts book --which I'll hopefully get around to posting in its entirety next month maybe --if you're good!

AHHHHH!!!!!!
I screamed multple times during this post! First after reading the name PeePul Pals! Then after reading the Sally Stewardess part of the name of the catalogue (you better post that real freaking soon, buddy). And then after seeing the super blown up pics of the PeePuls!!!!!
I LOVE them!!!!!!!!! And there's Sally Stewardess right there!!! Nina Nurse is neat too!
It's not a catalog, it's a cute little book that possibly came with the doll (this image is on the back cover) it's like the usual Whitman style kid books from this era. And yes, I will most definitely put this on the burner as a PRIORITY post.
I like how pissed Brenda Bride looks... they usually have to build up to that look
maybe it was on the honeymoon night
This post has the needle of the Cute-O-Meter dangerously close to overload.
How much cute can one blog handle?
Ohhh, trust me, it's about to go right over the cute meter limit!
I love those tiny cute dolls because:
1)They are my peers.
2)They're a little weird looking but certainly better than those horrible Bratz my little niece is so mad about.
3) I always associate the words "Nina" and "nurse" with some of my favorite movies of the 80's.
I found Nina Nurse at a thrift store many many years ago. They were packaged in that plastic, house shaped box and came with a few tiny accessories. I wonder where she is?
Excellent! Two more votes for Nina! I'm a little surprised actually, as I figured the fairy tale characters would be the most popular, I know I'd love to find a Little Red Riding Hood, though I do adore the little red headed ballerina too!
Ok, the Sally book is coming up next, check back later... thanks for the comments! :)
Darling. Being quite patial to flight, my vote goes to Sally Stewdardess. *smiles*
I've got a Sally adventure coming up later this evening, check back in a few! :)
Coincidentally, I really do like Red Riding Hood best. Also I really dig all those excellent drop shadows! Man, that really pops the dimensionality of this art, don't you think?
It's a photo I super scanned!
I had Nina nurse. I so enjoyed playing with her and my Barbies. Somehow Nina is lost---but I still have her nurse bag. If anyone needs that and is interested---let me know. Otherwise I will list on ebay at some point.
Thanks for helping relive some childhood memories.
Thanks for sharing, Janet! I bet Crafty Pants Carol would be interested in the purse, you should contact her (scroll up to the top of the comments here and you'll find her!)
