A totally koo-koo assortment of excerpts from the July 1957 issue of This Magazine is Crazy Volume 3 #2. This was Charlton's attempt at doing the wildly popular 'ol MAD Magazine imitation thang, and for the most part it's fairly successful in its own way with the silly satirical spoofs 'n gags, and funny illustrations... unfortunately, the series only lasted 7 short issues.

This is pretty risqué!
Favorite gag is the shark joke. That's pretty funny on a couple levels. I really like the art in the space ranger story; it's another realistic women cartoon guys bit but I love the really heavy inks and dark shadows. It's a good style for that kind of comic.
The pig story goes a long way for that joke at the end!
This look likes it's falling half way between mad and the "pretty girls and jokes" mags of that time.
I agree concerning the shark joke, I wonder how Charles Adams or Gahan Wilson would have drawn it.
'When the animals take over' looks to be a comedic swipe from Blood Brothers featured on THOIA back in June 28, 2009.
The model for the Dripsi cola looks like the wife of J Evil Scientist. Perhaps she had a modeling career in Transylvania before marrying the loath of her life.
Another wild and crazy find, Karswell, thanks!
I am totally loving the art in Captain Half Past Twelve, it's really too bad nobody seems to know who drew it. Page two is just super duper, and the showcase panel at the end is a knockout.
The final page of the humans-as-meat story isn't half as hardcore as the third panel--or even the first--so it's kind of an anticlimax.
I like the rough, off-model outsider feeling cover if this ish a lot. I'm always a fan of artists who take up a single brush and relentlessly fill the whole space up with marks. This work definitely has an underground vibe.
