Universal Studios Monsters Big Coloring Book: Creature from the Black Lagoon

I found a copy of this Universal Studios Monsters coloring book a few weeks back at an antique mall, and though it's not too terribly vintage, it does contain some super cool artwork inside that is definitely worth getting out your coloring crayons and/or markers for! The six big ones are featured on the cover, (but unfortunately no Invisible Man!), and lo and behold there's an individual, multi-page chapter inside for each monster-- but for today's post we'll focus on my all time favorite Universal creation-- The Creature from the Black Lagoon!

If anyone's interested, I'll scan more pages for upcoming posts-- have fun!

***UPDATE!!!***

Mr. Cavin took the plunge and expertly colored one of the pages! Anyone else up for the challenge?

It's interesting that, even though they are officially licensed and all, the characters are so off-model on that cover. It's crazy. I like the inside stuff, though. It looks way more like real comic brush art than the usually unweighted coloring book line art.

Can't wait to see Wolf Man!

Definitely interested.
I like how most of it focuses solely on the Creature. Oddly, it has a feeling of the Creature just going about his day in these shots. "Had to chase some predators off the field this morning..."

That's probably just me, huh?
