Halloween 1962

Did you think we were done with the Jack and Jill All Hallows fun this month? Oh, Hell no... not when I waltz into an antique shop just days before Halloween and find yet another vintage October issue of J&J staring back at me from a shelf! It's from 1962, and so packed with excellent tricks 'n treats, it might just take 2 posts to get it all in before the big day! So here we go again-- enjoy!

Woo hoo, popped a surprise last minute Jack and Jill post! I think the little witch bandit with the jack-o-lantern candy apple is the clear winner here. I want to watch her TV show!

Fun little Halloween activities. Paper plates and brown bags have been helping teachers with arts and crafts for decades!

These were a delight to see and read. For want of a better term, it is the magic of the holiday, day and night, that makes Halloween so enduring and special. Its a holiday for the kids and the kid in all of us, costumes to wear, spooky stories to read or watch on TV, and candy, whats not to like?

Happy Halloween to all fans of "Everything Else too " and especially to you and yours, Karswell!
