The Hazards of Skin Diving

I don't know who created this art in the September '64 issue of Archie's Madhouse #35but it's incredibly unique, very slick, and wonderfully stylized work. Can anyone help identify this artist?

It's great, kind of has that awesome Marcus Hamilton vibe, what with the interplay between curvy and angular shapes and these extremely variable line widths. I've never seen this thing with the little detail lines cutting over the thicker brush strokes in negative (see the outside edges of the octopus on page one for example). That's just neat, and probably represents a lot of work--an overlay? toothpickeded-on white?--for a sweet, almost subliminal effect. Great stuff.

Everything is just super fun, yet doesn't even remotely have the same vibe as the typical Archie's style art in the rest of the issue... I think this artist did one more page in this one too in the TV Nurse chapter, I'll post it with some other Madhouse funnies next

I've always been a fan of Archie comics and the Bob Montana style but several of the pages have a completely different style that I don't recognize. Who is the other artist?

That's the million dollar question posed, my friend! I should just ask Craig, he's the Mad House specialist!

I don't have any guesses as to the artist, but it sure is cute!
