They Taste So-o-o Good (PART TWO)

Today we have the last half of the Planter's Peanut Oil recipe booklet from 1955 (check our previous post HERE for the first half), --and as you can see, these sections contains even more wonderfully rendered key art and photos of scrumptiously prepared delicacies!

Lots more on the burner-- stay with us!

Love that chicken standing over a frying pan filled with dismembered chicken. That needs a word balloon full of CSI dialog.

I love the wood grain and other textural elements in the first two images here. The TV, the couch, the coffee table--so cool.

Its nice to see Mr. Peanut presented with a more casual look than his usual top hat, spats and walking stick.

I had (or have somewhere buried under a pile of stuff) a Mr. peanut measuring spoon and Mr. Peanut cup (or is it a mug with Mr. Peanut's mug on it?)

The fifties through the seventies were a golden age for all of this type of memorabilia, kitsch, and advertising whatnots.
