STL Quality

Quality Dairy Co., Inc. based in north St. Louis MO county, published this cool booklet in 1954 to promote their vast array of dairy products-- from milk, to salad dressing, to lemonade, to something called fondalac, and more! Of course it's also a superbly illustrated recipe book too, as seen in the lovely and colorful select scans below. I'm not sure if Quality Dairy is still in business or not, a quick internet search seemed to produce zero related results except for vintage product items like bottles and packaging for sale on ebay. Still, if you have a hankerin for some quality spumone or Golden Flake cottage cheese, pick up the phone and dial Evergreen 1-6000 anyway-- you might get lucky :)

Wow! I seriously love all the little details. Like the olives next to the sandwich and the ruffly celery tops and the super fab stripey straws and that really cool knife cutting the meatloaf. And the peas! With the translucent top shell. So neat! And I always love those packaging shots too!

Cool!

Did you dial Evergreen 1-6000 yet, CPC?

But I'm not local. I would have to dial Enterprise 943 and I don't even know what that is!

I love drawings of fifties food. Those stripey paper straws are making a comeback, too--I've spotted them in a couple of fancy, progressively local/green type spots in the last few years.

Never let it be said I won't rise to the challenge when called upon.

The old logo has expired and the company, which is still in business, concentrates exclusively in Michigan.

The new logo is connected with the company.

I had to use the blekko.com, search engine to find the information (believe it or not that is the search engine's name, Blekko, strange but true...)

You're welcome Karswell, though I still can't find anything on the movie "Parties That Soar" from the prior post.
Most likely "Parties That Soar" will be found along with the film "London After Midnight" in someone's film vault or barn.
