Monster Laffs

If you're planning on trick 'r treating this year, don't forget you need a cornball joke or two to secure some sugar coated tooth-rot in your bulbous plastic pumpkin head. And there's no better place to turn to for some creepy chuckles than this itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie, Monster Laffs Mini-Book by C.H.P. from 1965. Tiny prize tomes like this were found inside a sticky box of Cracker Jacks, there's many different collections, (hit up ebay to see more.) And if you're curious how big these books really are, scroll to the very bottom of this post.

I have to admit that "spooknik" actually cracked me up. I can only assume that my standards had been adequately lowered by that point.

I commend the effort it must have taken to scan all of these tiny little pages! I seen to remember either having or making little books like these as a kid. This is the type of joke that would have really made me crack up as a youngster!

It's the best one, for sure, Mr C.

Thanks Amber... and you're right, it was a total pain in the beastly butt scanning this-- hopefully this post gets 100+ comments!

Wow, that's one teeny tiny book! I agree with the spooknik, but I also like the "minster"! Haha, that lil guy is rightly prepared to grasp or lunge forth and attack his next victim!
I wish so much that cracker jacks still had cool prizes! They must've had too many people swallowing them? Haha.

I remember an old riddle about "Peg Of My Heart" being Dracula's favorite song. I think just the opposite; (at least when the Count was just learning English); because he thought the title was "Peg *In* My Heart!) :)

"When he is filled with people", that's a good one.

Haha, I wonder if this is true? *giggle* I can't remember the last time I ate Cracker Jacks... to be honest, it's not my favorite food to snack on.

I believe I've heard that one too. I'm just curious if vampires really do light their cigs with dragons. That makes TOTAL sense.

Leaving us with this question to digest: How many Minster's does it take to fill a ghoul up?

Thanks for the comments! Get your crayons out for our next post, it's coming right up!

Wow - that is one cute teeny weeny little book. It was worth it reading through all the bad jokes to see it in your hand!

Please note this Teeny Weeny book was not written by the Weenie Witch!
