Speaking of great packaging (see our previous post too), this vintage 1950's toy gun by Marx is sure as shootin' swell! Squeeze the giant trigger and the Signal Pistol makes a revving sort of WHEE! WHEE! siren sound that would absolutely scare the hell out of whatever you're aiming at! (CLICK HERE to hear it for yourself!) The gun apparently came in two different colors, both of which seemed to match the great red and black color scheme of the box art design. Weeee!!

That video brings back terrible memories of trying to start our crappy old lawnmower when I was a tween. That noise would certainly have me running.
I like the gun and love the box. Yet another example in this ongoing series of abnormal delight: Man that kid is utterly struck stupefied by the amazing fun of cranking up this toy!
I don't have to see it or be near it to know the exact noise that makes!
I love the one kid with his fingers in his ears -- overselling it a bit!
The art is great but the gun is better. I love that weird steam punk-y old but sci-fi look to it. A neat paint job and you could use that as a prop on your sci-fi show!
It sounds like a hand powered dynamo flashlight I once owned.
The box and the gun are in great shape, the toy gun looks like it was a copy of a Webley revolver.
