This one is adorable. The funny part is, it almost feels like a post-code story. Nothing violent or spooky. Just two (mer) people in love.
On the second page I kind of figured she was a mermaid, but I thought the guy was a centaur or satyr.
The mermaid valentine is cute, though how they are going to date is the mystery here.
I'm with JMR777, it was kind of obvious how we never saw their legs, but I was pretty sure it was going to end with a "we will make it work out" and one had crab monster legs and the other had squid legs or something.
But I'll take it, it works for a pleasant little 3 pager.
I am a little delighted by the (non) twist ending here. I was sure he was a mermaid from the beginning, but I certainly didn't suspect them both. Teasing their bodies was cheeky and well handled throughout, and the art successfully evoked wooden figureheads in a very appropriate way.
The happiest romance story all month! So far!
