Now That's the Way I Like Meat Loaf...

Real clever, these advertisers! Yes, it's time for more fun ads with adorable illustrations from an old 50's issue of Family Circle magazine-- I particularly love the sad sack stove and the guy excitedly stuffing his big 'ol mouth with meat loaf.

Wow these ads are all amazing. I used to have a stack of old Family Circles from the 50s. They are so awesome.

The La Choy ad is so fabulous. And I seriously want some of that rarebit. And I love the way the bullfighter is salting the bulls head. Makes murder look so dang cute.

Illustration was at its best then. Let's hear it for La Choy!

yeah, the meat tenderizer ad cracked me up, too. Also dig the little dog chasing the baked fudge pudding family. That swanky Tabby Cat Food puss is where it's at, though. Man, I guess I'm really into the animal kingdom tonight.

All the ads were great, though we had a Magic Chef stove that reminded me of the tired, worn out stove featured in the ad. Our Magic Chef had no magic left in it near the end.

Never even heard of Maine Sardines until now. One more neat thing to learn about from your great blogs, Karswell.
