Twinkle Loon

Last month I posted a wonderfully illustrated story by Robert E. Berry called No and Yes, click HERE to see it! Today I have another one by Berry, and also published by United Church Press, this time in 1961. It's an equally adorable story about a boy and his teeny new alien friend... and yes it does have a religion angle like the other post, but don't let that distract you from the fabulous artwork-- or the super "Making a Twinkle Loon Puppet" bonus page at the end!

Man! I like this even better than the last one. I love the charcoal or pencil stuff (and especially that geometric tree in number three). The spot color is really well used too: The children's blocks and stuff and especially that marching band on the Spartacus page. I love the stripey, bee-yellow diver, too.
