Xmas in July, Day 2: Super Slicks, Freakies, Weird Wheels Die-Cast Cars
What kid wouldn't want some of the coolest die-cast car sets ever made-- the Super Slicks, Freakies, and Weird Wheels! Toy cars are always better when they're weirder, freakier, and/or slicker! (Montgomery Ward 1971 Christmas Catalog)
I'm just going to assume that the silly dangley, flexible, creature Freakie that comes with the Sweat T Freakie roadster is some kind of werewolf / Mr. Hyde thing. So he's my fave. I've always been partial to these kinds of monster cars, too, what with their exposed engine blocks and their confusion of chrome piping. That said, the two-wheeled super-deformed Wierdwagen Beetle is kinda cute, too.
