Of all the Santo films that ever got made, the one that didn't is the one that should've! And here today at AEET, we have EXCLUSIVE, RARE film stills taken from the set of the completely forgotten "Santo in the Ozarks", an unfinished Filmadora Panamericana / Spencer Gifts production from the 1960's or 70's, where our hero Santo finds himself stranded in the Ozark mountain wilds after being called in "Yojimbo" style to help settle the never ending feud between the Hatfields and McCoys. Battling discrimination from the local yokels, as well as facing certain starvation when a clan of hill billy kin steals his order of Kentucky Fried Chicken and mashed puh-taters (see product placement / tie-in photo detail below), Santo must use his wrasslin' wits to get his meal deal back before it turns sour, while also confronting some piss happy hicks and their frisky, vivacious daughters (who are unfortunately suffering from equally raging urinary tract infections just like their pappys.) It's really quite complicated for a Santo script. For more amazing, EXCLUSIVE AEET films that never got made see: The Girl's Locker Room from the Black Lagoon, and Gypsy Huggers vs. Chill Chasers!
Some of you might notice a yellow dog on the packaging, aka Old Yeller... he is unfortunately missing from my Hill Billy Out-House squirter
ReplyDeleteAnd extra thanks to Crafty Pants Carol for the food props too!
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeletedid you blow on the hole to prime it? i'd like to see a pic of that please.
pretty cute little scenario
No need to blow on anything, this gag is as broke down as The Girl's Locker Room
ReplyDeleteI don't like the color of that hose. I think that guy needs to see the doctor.
ReplyDeleteThanks for my bit of strangeness for the day. That and the mayfly covered wicker divan on the dock this morning.
ReplyDeleteSince my background is pure hillbilly, I love anything that features the rich culture of the Kentucky hill country. PS: my grandfather had fruit jars of shine in the house, which he would show me as a kid, and he absolutely loved Kentucky Fried Chicken. Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks for the comments... more strangeness coming up!
