Come to the Honeycomb Haunted Mansion!

I'm sure a few of you will be just as surprised as me to learn that this wonderfully illustrated, and somewhat elaborately designed Post Honeycomb Cereal game premium is actually from 1997. It seriously looks more like a dazzlin’ center spread from a 70's issue of Dynamite Magazine! Great colors and loaded with fun detail, heck even the ominous atmosphere is incredibly well done. See, someone took the Honeycomb cereal and it's your job to find out whodun'it by hunting for clues and sliding the insert room images around behind the mansion windows! Okay, now you'll be disappointed to learn that I will not be breaking any perforated edges, or removing any tabs to assemble this thing for actual play mobility, --you'll just have to look at all of the great artwork as is. I did include one revealing "clue" image so you can see what that looks like, despite the clues being rather easy to spot even without the red lens windows. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an image online of the cereal box blurb, but I did find this silly commercial that likely ties in with the game, --CLICK HERE!

That's absolutely gorgeous and I second the Dynamite Magazine comment because the artist definitely looks like somebody that worked at the mag doing monster stuff.

I love the pirate but never kind of get pirates in haunted houses. Ghost pirate, sure, but a regular pirate would just be a human and in as much trouble from the monsters as you!

The color scheme is also great, the dark blue, the pop of green, all against the purple sky really says "deep night." I think my favorite is the werewolf, bottom left window on the right side. I love his crooked little teeth. He's huggable, if you are feeling like putting yourself in danger!

That is just awesome. I'd be torn between displaying it and keeping it safe at this point! Just beautiful.

Now that you have posted this haunted house, any follower of THOIA and AEET can print out the images and build their very own version for their haunted Halloween enjoyment.
You always deliver for us Karswell, and we are all the richer for it.

Maybe its just me, but the green guy in the window above the werewolf, he looks like a cross between the Frankenstein Monster and Moe from The Three Stooges. Was the artist aiming for a FrankenMoe? The world may never know for sure.

Wow, yeah, I can't believe corporate America was capable of producing such a beautiful thing so late as ninety-seven. One week later all of this would have been shiny-looking airbrushed vectors with ping-pong ball eyes. This thing's a miracle.

Every detail is extraordinary--the awesome monsters (love the guy with the mug), the house itself (love the colorful stones), that 3D standee construction--but what's really sending me is the naked view of those room inserts with the colorful op-arty hidden clue panels. Oh man, that is so groovy. That swinging sixties touch dominating a comfy gothic old dark mansion is an altogether ooky combo. I'd live there in a snap.
