A Blue Day for a Blond(e) Lady

Teeny tiny, gum ball machine prize time again, and this one is a great little Marvel Mini-Book from 1966 featuring Millie the Model via Marvel Comics. Unfortunately incomplete here as some of the pages are either missing or oddly stuck together (don't look at me!) --the few sample pages I was able to photograph below still manage to form a funny, coherent little story though! Other Marvel characters that made their way into this marvelous miniature format included Captain America, The Amazing Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, The Mighty Thor and and Sgt. Nick Fury.

I'm glad the heart thinks Millie is the greatest, but what about "Clicker?"

I like these little things -- there's a lot of economy to story telling here. It's gotta be quick and easy to read and understand, so you have a really quick setup and resolution. I like even Margo -- and man is she pissed in that head shot! -- is suddenly her friend after apologizing.

I also like the "right styles for you" -- it's a good thing to proclaim and I like all the different sizes but everybody having the same dress my hurt the point they are trying to make!

This is pretty cool. I like the wee pared-down format quite a bit. I think it would have been striking with blue spot color just to push the hair dye gag. But that would have doubled the cost probably.

Man, I really want to see that Spider-Man gumball edition now.
