It's another scorchin' day here in the midwest, with temperatures well into the 100's! I guess the only thing to do to make it even a little more tolerable is to wear as little clothing as possible! So let's check the calendar, lift that flimsy, film-painted negligee layer, pop the cork (of the champagne), and ...ummm, where was I even going with this exactly? OK, if you needed gas, beer, pizza, or even some topless mamacitas in 1962, Geno's was located only 11 miles east of Lebanon MO on good 'ol US Rt. 66. So come on now and get yer ti-- errr, kicks, on route etc etc...
Don't know how good the pizza itself was, but the "toppings" appear delectable.
ReplyDeleteOK that's a cute twist on the drinking glass and girlie pens.
ReplyDeleteBut with my OCD, I'm trying to figure out how that room works! The fruit basket candelabra? Floating in a mauve void? That's why she's posed that way, she's frightened and turning away from what is basically the endless hallway in the haunted mansion!
Awww that’s cute. Also … BOOBS!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like she is welcoming in the new year in style.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if she was the new year baby of 1962, but she was probably some lucky guys babe.
Whoa, do you think they hand painted that lacy camisole on every copy? What could the print run have been if human hands had to do that each time? Or maybe it was done with some kind of stamp. The color densities do look like brush strokes, but it may be fooling me.
ReplyDeleteEither way, even with a stamp, that is a pretty labor-intensive calendar.
