Found a fun little milk glass mug the other day, dated 1972 and made by the Jeanette Corporation. On one side it features two happy children and their dog settling into a big comfy chair for the evening, only to turn on the tube and get a Frankenstein fright on the other side! One kid got so scared, he literally disappeared from the mug! Does anyone know anything about The Junior Set? Google wasn't much help...
The TV aerial changes between scenes!
ReplyDeleteI love this image, the dog, the kids, the pretty spooky Frankenstien's monster. Very cool!
I think it’s just the angle, the antennae hoops are now aligned straight towards the viewer
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I love milk glass mugs anyway, so the excellent cartoon is icing on the cake. Love that it's printed in red for some reason--though it would sure be nice to see it just like this but with a green Frankenstein's Monster.
ReplyDeleteHope you dig up some more info. I'd love to see more examples of this--strip? Brand?
Dug up absolutely nothing, must've been a one off thing... thanks for the comments!
