It's Sunday Funday time again, and here's a cute old Harvey cartoon card game that I picked up recently, featuring lots of classic characters, both recognizable, as well as unfortunately forgotten. Each character has 4 cards, so try your best to match 'em all up and win! The (back then) "new" shape cards were die-cut to "fit the hands" and make them "easier to hold", (with apologies to Captain Hook and Edward Scissorhands, of course!) And no cheating-- Casper might not be included here, but he is always watching!
This was a tie-in with Matty's Funday Funnies, an ABC-TV program that aired old "Harveytoons" on Sunday afternoons.
ReplyDeleteHere's a brief bit about the card manufacturer:

I have most of those too… I really want that Bullwinkle card game though
ReplyDeleteOmg these are the coolest cards I’ve ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteI'm usually pretty up on my cartoon characters but half of them solicited a "who" and another 10% was "I *think* I remember that one!"
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't want to know who Moe Hare is. I feel better that way! The small head and big feet are a really, really off-putting image!
I'm really digging the cartooning on the backs of the cards, too.
ReplyDeleteSuper cool. Don't ever recall seeing Moe Hare before.
ReplyDeleteHere’s a Moe Hare cartoon for everyone, except Brian
