Cool mask I found for only $1 at an antique mall (thank you Post Halloween Sale!) which reminds me of the Dead Moon (band) logo quite a bit, or even a scary version of McDonald's "Mack Tonight" commercial character from the 80's. It's weirdly huge in size, and very heavy due to the extra thick high quality rubber. I spent a few days looking it up and trying to find basically any info about it, with nothing to go on but Paper Magic Group 2000 molded onto the back, and then finally after much online digging, I stumbled upon an Illusive Concepts catalog from the same year that finally revealed to me the name as "Punk Moon."
Just the thing to wear during the next full moon, and the Full Moon Ceremony known only by a select few whose membership is restricted (sadly, they turned down my membership request :( )
ReplyDeleteMan that is so cool, and would look great with pale green glow-in-the dark paint. What an excellent find!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This was indeed an excellent find for me as I've really begun beefing up my mask collection over the last few years-- its especially cool to find something so odd and different
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo sweet! The side view is amazing. And the price.....*jaw drop*
ReplyDeleteI can't believe nobody else wanted this..... or maybe that's just me.
Great site. Been visiting for years.
Vanessa
Thanks Vanessa :)
ReplyDeleteHoly crap that is amazing! I can't freaking believe you found that for a buck!
ReplyDeleteI know!! I look at everyday though and wonder how to display it since its shaped so weird it won't work using a styrofoam head inside like my other masks
ReplyDeleteUse plastic bags. I mean, use the usual styrofoam display head for the regular parts, and then stuff the moon points with a small portion of the literally thousands of plastic grocery and convenience store bags you likely have baled-up under a cabinet somewhere. I use bag-stuffing for everything: packing breakables to ship, making papier mache forms, holding even more damn bags.
ReplyDeleteYay, Carol's back! Happy New Year!
Trust me, I've been stuffing my mask heads with everything from old tee shirts to balled up bubble wrap... I hates a dented, collapsing monster head in my collection!
