Prepare to set sail on the salty high seas(onings) of fun, with this cute pair of 60's wooden salt and pepper shakers from Japan, found recently for $1 at a neighborhood garage sale. I'm not sure if they're Vikings or members of Water Bufflo Lodge No. 26, but I had to have 'em-- and I had to use a little glue on the one on the right after his beard fell off the second I touched it! All better now... whew!

ReplyDeleteThat took me a minute. You're hilarious, Karswell.
I've been known to have my moments, thank you ;)
ReplyDeleteCool shakers. I love those kitschy salt and peppers. I have a few myself. You have inspired me to post a few.
ReplyDeleteA neat little find from the garage sale. You just never know what will turn up.

ReplyDeleteGarage sales around here lately have been getting pretty crummy, but occasionally something really fun and different will pop up, much to my surprise.
Looking forward to your post, Tom!
I'm pretty sure those dudes are in disguise. It's cool that you got a peek behind the beard but pretend you've seen nothing.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, but weird too... like seeing pix of ZZTop before they grew the beards
