Back in October I posted a spooky joke (HERE) which contained a "spooken to" punchline that everybody must've really thought was knee-slappin' hilarious back in the day. So hilarious in fact, that I've stumbled upon two late 60's Halloween greeting cards that, aside from containing some really incredible artwork, also contain the infamous "spooken to" punchline! Jeez, talk about giggle gag overkill! And are we at AEET also responsible for flogging a ghostly dead horse by continuing to post Halloween stuff in December? If you said "yes" then I guess you don't know me very well...
That's a awesome ghost in the last picture. I'm going to post it to tumblr without any credit! :)
ReplyDeleteActually, joking aside, that's something I should do, might drive some traffic your way. Do you want links to a specific post or just links to the blog?
Just any link back to here is totally fine-- thanks man!
DeleteMan it's a pop-up! That's totally great! I can't decide which art I like better. The transparent edges on the first card's ghost is really excellent, too. And if I see the same punchline on any of the Halloween cards I run across, they're coming your way. I like to think you'll have the world's biggest "spooken to" collection.
ReplyDeleteHaha, awesome man, much appreciated! 😊 Hey, did you see the goblin hunter card in the previous post, Mr. C?
DeleteOh yeah, totally did. I love it; and I am almost always impressed by cut outs and things that turn your holiday greeting card into a toy. But I was so far behind, and didn't have much cogent to add, so I demurred.
