Many of you expressed some love for Sally Stewardess in our previous PeePul Pals post (click HERE), so here we go with extreme, no holds barred, Cute Overload approaching unbearable infinity squared! This tiny book from Whitman Publishing (1967) is just one in the lovable line of many mini-adventures featuring the lovely young PeePul Pals lasses... some of these books use illustrations, some use photos! So stayed tuned to AEET for more PP adventures in 2015!
Peter Pilot needs to do a little less barfly-ing and a little more airplane flying. This was really cute! But I would love to see the story drawn by the same artists who did the ad for the doll collection in the last post. I like the textured, three-d modeled look to those, and I think it would look great in these illustrations, too.
ReplyDeleteThose are photos in the other post, I guess the super 600% scan aspect of my images makes em look like that
ReplyDeleteWell the size combined with the cartoony look and the four-color process screening. They sure do look like paintings after all that!
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of blowing these teenies UP!
ReplyDeleteMan. If only life was this cute with happy people all over :)
ReplyDeleteAnd if only every plane dropped you off right at the carnival too!
ReplyDeleteI know!! And you could see all the action from the airplane window!
ReplyDeleteWhy Sally, what big eyes you have, are you the first ancestor of anime?
ReplyDeleteHer daddy was Astro Boy
