What's a Halloween party without some spooky stories, and maybe even a poem? Cute, harmless stuff, but no doubt these would tickle your scaredy bones if you were just a wee tot. And how about those illustrations? :) This is the last of the light hearted, kid friendly posts from the Oct. '64 Jack and Jill issue (see our last few posts too), as from here on in at AEET things might be taking a terrifying turn for the dark / unfriendly posts... for a little while anyway...
Nice Halloween stories for the younger crowd.
ReplyDeleteFirst story was fantastic, and perfectly complete before the addition of Dingo at the end. I feel like they must have needed to fill some extra room. I, for one, would have preferred some more of that magnificent witch art.
ReplyDeleteI love the name Snarlsome! That's a way better cat name than Pyewacket.
oh man i love the little red haired puppet in the second story! but it seems like Granny Hoskins could have done a bit of planning ahead
ReplyDeleteI have more Jack and Jill for either later this month, or I'll just save 'em for next Halloween-- whatever you guys want!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments :)
Like the idea of a rabbit going Trick or Treating as a human!
