Hilariously tasteless spoof on feminine hygiene booklets, as only 70's National Lampoon could deliver (from the Oct. '74 issue, Vol. 55.) Got some NL sex education for ya in our next post!
I must ruefully admit that I laughed till I cried. I always did love a good set of fake instructions. I suspect "cheerful tickle" was about the last straw. Now the whole house is awake.
I remember those old tampon insertion instruction books, and a book my mother gave me about periods. Tampons seemed a bit daunting. Although no-one ever gave me the fine advice to stand on my head while using them!
Holy shit this is freaking crazy! But not really that far off when you consider all the kooky old tampax ads.
ReplyDeleteI'm def in the "erect a tent in the backyard for the duration" camp :)
You should see the instructions I just suffered through to simply make a Trader Joes chicken dish!
DeleteDid they involve insertion and the Bermuda Triangle?
ReplyDeleteYes! Good thing I had one of my pumps handy!

ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad I haven't actually offended anyone yet with these NL posts-- this though is sure to happen with the next post. See ya in a few :O
