Art highlights (and a couple of recipes) from this super fun, 38 page
BEANS booklet published by the
Michigan Bean Shippers Association of Saginaw, Michigan (date and artist unknown.) Also includes interesting facts and a little bit of history about beans, --and oh man, don't miss the scoop on the
Bean Queens at the very end of the post!
wow. i absolutely love the art in this!
ReplyDeletethe dancing people from around the world are seriously fab! and the cans! man!
and i am equally fascinated and perplexed by the beans and meatballs recipe - mostly because of all the uncooked and undrained fatty meat. i am seriously going to have to try that.
oh and yes, the bean queens are really great. too bad they dont have a bean tiara or bikini though.
A beankini perhaps?
Deleteyes
ReplyDeleteor a beans and weeniekini for the bean kings :)
Is a weenkini made of wieners? May as well just go nude!
Deletesounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteI like the dancing cans a lot too. But I do feel it's worth pointing out that, when your character is basically just a big head with arms and legs coming out of the corners, this style of drawing a cleft chin looks even more scrotumlike than it usually does.
ReplyDeleteI think they should all have their tongues wagging out.
i was gonna mention the ballsack chins but i figured it was best left to a dude to point that out.
ReplyDeleteWait, those are chins and NOT scrotums??!!! WAHHH!!
ReplyDeleteWas the bean man with the top hat an ancestor of Mr. Bean?
