To get AEET's March Madness 2014 Fest up and running, here's a quick / small assortment of cool 'n unusually cute ads from an old 60's Jack and Jill Magazine for kids. Toys, soda pop, cereal themed board game fun-- what else do you need? How about more from this issue in our next post? Sure thing!
Much to like here, from vintage advertising art to Bosconauts!
ReplyDeleteA clown chugging two bottles of Fanta at the same time while riding a train is never a good thing.
;)
Looking forward to the next post...
Chug, clown, chug!
DeleteI love the Nabisco Wheat Honey Bee (and I guess a B Cowboy makes a pretty good ranch pun too, now that I think about it). I'm off to track down some more box art of that little gunslinger.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing is how the Grand Zoogle Bosconaut's mustache looks like a bat! There might be some Buffalo Bee commercials on YouTube as well! More coming up in a bit!
ReplyDeleteman! every single page in this post made me smile!! and the Buffalo Bee's Fun Page totally made me gasp. man i don't know what it is about those little games in these kids mags and greeting cards but they geek me out like crazy! even though i know that spinner would prob only spin two spaces when you spun it :)
ReplyDeleteand i really love how the little kid on the Big 4 Tractor gets a sun shade! hilarious!!
<3 The Mook too!!!
The Buffalo Bee illustration on the cereal box fronts (bottom of the ad) is soooo much cooler than the Honeynut Cheerios Bee it ain't even funny.
